Emergency Scope of Services:
  • Certified Trauma Centre.
  • Subspecialties and Supporting Departments are Available 24/7.
  • Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Neurology, OB-GYNE; Mother and Child Care, Cardiac Catheterisation Department, Radiology Department; MRI and CT Scan

The department is divided into a number of separate areas:

Resuscitation room

This area is used for the treatment of seriously ill or injured patients. It consists of two bays.

Major treatment area

This area is used for the assessment and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries who do not require the facilities of the resuscitation room but may be too unwell to be placed in the waiting room or to be directly transferred under the care of an Outpatient Department physician.

  • Severe physical injury, such as serious burns, deep wounds, broken or fractured bones, and concussions
  • Severe allergic reactions that result in swelling, hives or difficulty breathing
  • Seizures
  • Abdominal pains
  • Head, neck or spinal injuries
  • Cardiac issues, stroke or chest pain
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • High fever
  • Food poisoning
  • Pregnancy related issues in the case of a serious illness or injury, you may be referred to one of the Hospital’s expert specialists, who will work quickly to restore your health
