Dr. Abubaker Kabunga Mbogo is a UK fellowship-trained Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with specialist expertise in foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot management, and complex trauma care. With over two decades of experience, he has worked across leading hospitals in the UK and Uganda, currently serving at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust.
He performs a wide range of elective and trauma procedures, including foot and ankle reconstruction, diabetic foot surgery, and upper limb trauma operations. His approach integrates surgical precision with multidisciplinary care, including MDT clinics for diabetic limb salvage.
Mr. Mbogo is passionate about surgical education and regularly leads trauma theatres and specialist MDTs. He is actively involved in research on fracture care and limb reconstruction, with multiple international presentations and publications. At Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals, Mr. Mbogo delivers expert orthopaedic care that restores mobility, prevents complications, and transforms patients’ quality of life.
